The WVU Student Chapter (#5127) seeks to educate members about the professional aspects of Human Resource Management. This organization sponsors social activities to facilitate professional contacts and further develop and promote unity within the group. Members receive access to networking and internship connections, scholarship opportunities, and useful information relevant to the job search process. The chapter consistently receives recognition on the local and national stages. In the past year, the chapter received the SHRM Superior Merit Award, the highest merit award available, in recognition of its merit activities for the 2015-2016 academic year, including placing second in the graduate track at the 2016 Southeastern Student Conference and Case Study Competition.
